An adult facilitator interacts with students in this live-action video to reiterate specific rules for playground safety, reinforcing the ideas of being safe, being responsible, and being respectful. Several multicultural students, both boys and girls, state behavior strategies (“Follow the rules of the game) as well as results (“everyone will have more fun and there won’t be as many fights”). Practical advice from peers will be will-received by viewers. Concepts are general enough to be applicable to all schools (Follow directions of all school staff the first time they are given,” Help other kids if they are sad or get hurt”) and practical enough to be understood by young viewers .An excellent choice for both the introduction and review of playground rules, this title will serve as a springboard for further discussion in the classroom setting.
