Sunny Side of the Street  is a program designed to help parents encourage their children's development by building positive family relationships and establishing healthy home and playtime routines. The program uses music, games, videos, pictures and positive modeling to promote activities that support social, emotional and literacy development. Sunny Side of the Street is an ideal teaching tool for working with at-risk parents, including parents who have intellectual disabilities (ID) or cognitive limitations.

Five, 10-minute DVD episodes cover these topics:

• Ready to Read
• Ready to Get Along
• Ready to Play
• Ready for Bed

Mentor and Parent Handbook
Learn to recognize and work effectively with parents who have cognitive limitations. Included in this curriculum are in-home assessments, spotlights on child development, parent support strategies, possible challenges and colorful picture pages to help you connect with parents.
